The Market Place - Your Outsourced Training for Ministry Fulfilment
Updated: May 8

"He chose David his servant, and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance. And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them"
(Psalms78:70-72)
In the text above David was relegated to the bush by his siblings and parents, but what they never knew was that they were indirectly setting him up for the preparations that will qualify him as the chosen leader for Israel.
It says, ..."from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob"
Notice that though his position changed, but his skillset didn't.
-Sheep pen to Palace
-Shepherd to shepherd.
The constant factor here is the herding skills. Though physically relocated, the skills were needed elsewhere. No priest could teach this, no temple had custody of it's manual, it was a natural, from the fields, very organic.
I believe many of the present day drive for pulpit ministry is not driven by the Holyspirit. A known statistics reveals that a very small percentage of the church will end up in the clergy. Beware! The end time emphasis of the Spirit is on the market place ministry.
Never despise your career set up. As much as church training structure is very necessary, the time to focus on the trainings of the market place positioning will be highly invaluable for all round development.
A lot of young people today place more premium on their development in the 4 walls of the church, but pay little emphasis on their career mandates. Your career platform holds the social skill set that heaven will need to run a great divine edifice for the kingdom.
Eschew the following attitudes;
Only if they know I am anointed and gifted they would have accorded me my full respect.
They don't need to know who you are or your spiritual giftings. Your maturity is in your ability to learn humility and imbibe rare characters where no one knows you.
This work that doesn't even pay well, atleast if I work for God, heaven will reward me better.
Know that reward systems are based on hardwork and excellence. So you should rather push for these by developing yourself. The Pay shouldn't be your priority at this level.
God needs me more than this work i'm even doing.
This attitude will keep you on the fence and very passive to your work and inturn lead to your dismissal.
God needs you at your workplace. You will serve him effectively only if you discern your purpose.
Whether you work in God's house or at work for another man, the underlying measurement is the ability to fulfill an assignment.
Do you know your assignment?
Do you have one?
If Jesus chooses to take you from where you are now to where he needs you, what kind of man would you be in his hands...
No wonder many are not ready in the day of their showing.
Listen to me!
Today, it may look like the sheep pen, you may even smell like it, never despise it, it's all captured in the curriculum of your training.
For any reason you arrive at the palace without the test of the fields, you will lack the two major skill set of a leader, the integrity of heart and skillfulness of hands.
Recieve grace and wisdom to become all that heaven intended for you.
Blessings+++
